THE Irish Times and ESB invite submissions from young stage actors, theatre directors and theatre designers (sets, costume and/ or lighting) for a £5,000 bursary. The submission should state the use to which the funds would be put, and include a full CV. The bursary will be awarded on the basis both of the quality of the proposed project, and the level of professional achievement of the applicant. Applicants must be under 25 years of age on January 1st, 1997.
Applications' should be addressed to the Administrator, The Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Awards, 11-15 D'Olier Street, Dublin 2 and must be received by April 30th. The name of the bursary recipient will be announced during the Dublin Theatre Festival in October.
