European and Primera Liga champions Barcelona have reached an agreement to sign Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen from Chelsea.
Barca this morning announced that Gudjohnsen will sign a four-year deal with the club after he undergoes a medical at 1100 am.
Gudjohnsen was given permission to talk to the Catalan giants on Tuesday soon after the confirmation that Ukraine and AC Milan striker Andrei Shevchenko will play at Stamford Bridge next season.
The former Bolton striker is seen as an ideal replacement for Henrik Larsson after the Swede departed to finish his career in his home country.
The deal is believed to worth around £8 million.
