The Irish Times operates a Commercial Graduate Programme. This programme, designed to run over a two-year period, provides the successful applicants with the opportunity to experience a vibrant media environment through placements across the commercial departments of The Irish Times Group.

Work Experience in The Irish Times
The Irish Times offers a limited number of short work experience opportunities throughout the summer months to those pursuing a career in journalism. The purpose of these placements is to provide budding journalists with some experience in a real media environment.
Placements are unpaid and range in duration from a few days to a maximum of three weeks. We will accept applications in writing, with a cover letter and CV to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Transition Year Work Experience Placements
The Irish Times operates a work experience placement programme for transition year students throughout the academic year. This programme is for students who are interested in how The Irish Times operates and would like to learn more about a career in media.
