Interprovincial Leinster A 24 Ulster A 22The Blues began brightly with impressive speedster Fionn Carr showing glimpses of his blistering pace from the off, but it was Stephen Grissing who got the game's opening try after good work from Bernard Jackman and Brendan Burke.

Eoghan Hickey added the points to give Leinster a 7-0 lead after four minutes. In the 21st minute second row Ryan Caldwell barrelled over for Ulster, before a Hickey penalty gave Leinster a 10-5 lead. Carr then weaved clear of the Ulster defence after more good work from lively scrumhalf Matt D'Arcy and Adam Byrnes. Hickey added the points and then secured seven more for himself on the stroke of half-time to give his side a 24-5 lead.

As the weather deteriorated, Leinster were camped in their own half for most of the half and Ulster ran in three tries through Darren Cave (50), Campbell Feather (55) and an 80th minute Paddy Wallace effort. But Leinster held on to seal a deserved win.
