National League Premier Division/Dublin City - 0 Bohemians - 0: Dominant for long spells, Bohemians had to settle for a point as they might well have thrown this game away against a Dublin side that finished with 10 men.
Keen to impress new manager Gareth Farrelly, Bohemians were a different proposition from the side that lost the League Cup final to Longford on Monday.
What let them down was their finishing as they wasted two gilt-edged chances inside the first half hour and many more throughout a one-sided game. James Keddy wasted the first after four minutes when giving Barry Ryan a comfortable save with a shot off his weaker right foot. Bobby Ryan then skied over the bar.
Dublin might have found themselves in front at the break. Shaun Byrne hooked the ball across from the end line for Efan Ekoku, but the new signing missed his kick in front of goal. Within a minute, Scott Friel was inches over with a 25 yard free-kick.
Glen Crowe and Colin Hawkins went close for Bohemians in the second half before Dublin captain Marc Kenny was sent off for dissent with 22 minutes to go.
Dublin created their best chance on 85 minutes when Tony O'Connor's shot was taken off the line by Stephen Caffrey.
Barry Ryan saved well with his feet before getting down to hold Thomas Heary's long range drive in stoppage time.
