In a game of few chances, Old Belvedere converted two of theirs to claim the McCorry Cup final at Donnybrook yesterday evening.

Terenure took the lead in the 32nd minute with a penalty kick by out-half John English.

Belvedere responded immediately when, after a break by prop Paul Kearns and then a quick tap penalty, flanker Mick McLaughlin got over for an unconverted try.

It was Kearns again who sparked Old Belvedere in the second half, and he claimed the second touchdown when their maul motored over the line.
