Madam, - The call from the Communications, Marine and Natural Resources Oireachtas Committee for a public debate on nuclear power is greatly to be welcomed (The Irish Times, June 9th).
The debate so far has not been as open-minded nor as well-informed as it could be. The decision on whether or not to take the nuclear route is a momentous one, and it deserves the closest possible consideration of all the facts regarding the potential risks and benefits of all the options before us. - Yours, etc,
