Sir, - It is difficult to understand the mentality of the "authorities" who justify the removal of all free street-parking in the capital as an effort to ease traffic congestion, yet quite happily close a main road linking Donnybrook and Ballsbridge on a wet Monday at 9 a.m. for filming. Could they not have had the common sense and courtesy to wait until rush hour was over? Surely the traffic problem in Dublin is bad enough?
I am beginning to wonder if the Corporation (or whoever it is decides these things) actually know what they are doing. It seems that they just act now and think later. - Yours, etc., Victoria Campbell,
