The sentencing hearing for South African athlete Oscar Pistorius has entered its fourth day in a court in Pretoria.
Mr Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide last month after shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. He was cleared of a charge of murder.
The prosecution will today continue its case for Mr Pistorius to serve a jail term, saying his actions have left the Steenkamp family “broken”. The defence is seeking house arrest and community service for the killing.
Yesterday, Ms Steenkamp’s cousin, Kim Martin, said the killing of the model by former Mr Pistorius has left her family “ruined”.
