Carley's Bridge Pottery of Enniscorthy and Kilruddery Gardens of Bray in County Wicklow both go back a long way - Carley's to the 1650s, Kilruddery to the 1680s - and their respective histories will coincide when a sale of the pottery's terracotta pots will be held in the statue gallery of the gardens on Saturday, May 8th, between 10am and 4pm.
Pots of all shapes and sizes, planted and unplanted, will be for sale.
Carley's Bridge has its own supply of clay for making the terracotta pots, and as well as the sale there will be refreshments, advice on planting, pottery demonstrations, and a chance to tour the grounds.
