The Labour Party today unveiled its redesigned website.

Labour Party spokesperson on communications, Tommy Broughan said the site had undergone a major redesign to become "more user-friendly and to foster an online community of Labour activists, supporters and interested members of the public".

The site will allow for "blog style comments" on any of the articles on the home page. Labour claims that it will be the first party to allow comments from the public onto a party website.

There is a stronger emphasis on leader Pat Rabbitte, and people will be able to follow his tours around Ireland in photographs through Flickr photostream.
