The national mixed team championship (Coen Trophy) will be decided over three sessions in the Greystones Bridge Centre, Co Wicklow, on May 29th-30th. Teams must consist of two mixed pairs of intermediate A grade upwards. Entries: Paul Porteous (014929666).

Two congresses will be held on May 21st-23rd - the Yeats Country in the Sligo Park Hotel, and the Youghal Bay in the Walter Raleigh Hotel. Sligo programme: Friday (7.30 p.m.), mixed pairs, and gala open pairs; Saturday (2 p.m.), two-session major, and intermediate pairs, social (11 p.m.); Sunday, reception (11.30 a.m.), teams (starting at 1 p.m., and finishing at 9 p.m.); open pairs twice daily on Saturday, and Sunday. Youghal: Friday (7.45 p.m.), mixed pairs; Saturday (2.15 p.m.), two-session major pairs; Sunday (12.30 p.m.), two-session major, and intermediate teams; open pairs throughout. Entries: Kieran Groeger (024-91061).

Some 400 players competed in the Fanagan intermediate, and novice leagues organised by the Dublin South Region. Division Two: 1, Knocklyon; 2, De La Salle; 3, Firhouse.
