Walking in Kiltimagh
Naturally West Holidays, the tourism development and marketing company with IRD Kiltimagh, is promoting the area with a new brochure which highlights the attractions and activities that are available locally. New Year walking
Go Visit Ireland is offering an opportunity to walk off the excesses of the festive season on some of the best walks in Kerry over December 30th to January 2nd. Allowing for two days walking, all levels will be catered for from the casual stroller to experienced walkers. All walks will be guided with a choice of three grades of walks each day.

New Year sunrise walk
This sunrise walk, organised by Footfalls Walking Holidays on January 1st, will start in Laragh, Co Wicklow at 6.15am. Meandering through Ballard forest onto Trooperstown Hill, walkers will see the first sunrise of the 2011 at 8.41am, weather permitting. The journey back takes walkers through Trooperstown Woods and down to the Avonmore River where a minibus will transport everyone to Laragh for breakfast in the Wicklow Heather Restaurant.
