Tycoon Dermot Desmond's daughter Zoe Desmond has joined Gunne's busy New Homes and Overseas department. Meanwhile Pat Gunne at CBRE has been busy, making several new appointments to the board.
Garrett McClean, Andrew Gunne, Tony Grant and Wesley Rothwell have all been appointed this week. Garrett McClean has overall responsibility for CBRE's industrial business, Andrew Gunne advises on major commercial acquisitions, Tony Grant specialises in development monitoring, building acquisition, space planning and project management, while Wesley Rothwell advises on the development potential of land holdings.
Elsewhere, Nick Crawford has departed Colliers Jackson-Stops to take up a new position in Douglas Newman Good's commercial team, where his negotiating skills will be an asset to the group's already strong commercial presence in the marketplace.
Another of this week's movers is Pierce Fagan, who leaves the retail department of CB Richard Ellis to join Conway Keane Auctioneers of Kildare. He worked previously with APN Outdoors, New Zealand in their commercial development section and as a valuer with Brophy Farrell Real Estate Alliance.
Project management company Leading Edge has appointed Conor Reilly as director, leading the way towards expansion. The company specialises in steering developments to completion on time and within budget by co-ordinating the management of professionals.
Californian-based medical device company Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) has announced plans to establish its Irish headquarters in Liffey Valley. It's a major coup for O'Callaghan Properties and Grosvenor Estates, co-developers of Liffey Valley. The deal was put together by Paul Hipwell of Lisney on behalf of the company and Paddy Earley of HOK who represented the developers.
