The obituary of Matt Merrigan in the editions of June 17th should have said the by-election in Ballyfermot in 1969 was caused by the death of Labour TD Sean Dunne, not Paddy Dunne.

The caption to a photograph in last Thursday's editions of rock climbers in Dalkey Quarry should have noted that the event was organised by the Federation of Irish Scout Associations to introduce the Scouting in Ireland members of the Millennium Youth Initiative.
