Two new appointments have been announced at Kingram Communications Group

Two new appointments have been announced at Kingram Communications Group. Mr Mark Byrne, who specialises in advising clients in multimedia and e-commerce-based solutions, joins the company as IT and marketing manager, while Ms Maria Walshe has been hired as sales and marketing manager with responsibility for new business and existing clients.

Avaya, which provides corporate networking solutions and services, has announced the appointment of Mr Adam Grennan as senior network consultant in its data pre-sales support group for the UK and Ireland. Mr John Kane has been appointed business manager, channel partners. Mr Grennan has worked in the communications/IT industry for almost 20 years. He was previously employed by Irish Marine, Siemens, Global One, LAKE Communications and, most recently, Cable & Wireless. Mr Kane, who has worked in the computer industry since 1980, joins the company from ntl.

Ms Kate McCarthy has been promoted to vice-president of content development at e-learning company Smartforce. Ms McCarthy played a key role in the launch of the Smartforce elearning strategy in 1999 and more recently she has overseen the development of the company's e-learning architecture and expansion of its training portfolio.

Mr Joe Mottley has been named as a director of Setanta Asset Management. Mr Mottley joined Setanta in 1998 as head of equity strategy and has more than 16 years' experience of managing assets in the major equity markets.

Recruitment consultants Morgan Personnel has hired Ms Anne Gavin as senior consultant at its Ashbourne office. Before joining Morgan Personnel, Ms Gavin worked with the FAS Northside Partnership.

Celtic Resources Holdings has announced the appointment of Mr William Kelleher as executive vice-president in charge of all of the company's oil and gas activities and projects.

Alphyra Group, formerly known as ITG, has recruited Mr Sean O'Mara as European corporate controller. Mr O'Mara has previously worked with Lloyds of London, Compaq and Mattel Interactive.

Public relations company Murray Consultants has announced the appointment of Ms Pauline McAlester, Ms Blaithin Boylan, Ms Geraldine Kearney, and Mr Pat Walsh to the board of the company as part of a #2.5 million development programme. Mr David Linnane and Mr John McMahon have been appointed associate directors. A number of new appointments have also been made at the company. Ms Elizabeth Headon joins as a senior consultant, while Mr Donnchadh O'Neill, Ms Roisin Sorahan and Ms Mary Bodley have all been appointed account executives.
