Christmas post

Sir, – Amy O'Connor's article about sending Christmas cards was wonderful ("Do you send Christmas cards? Well maybe you should", Life, December 1st). I cannot imagine Christmas without sending and receiving cards through the post.

I have an old Quinnsworth “yellow pack” copybook dating back to 1990 with the names of the people I send cards to each year. Of course, the list has varied over the years as some family and friends are no longer with me. I get the same joy every year revisiting the copybook!

The price of stamps has naturally increased over the years, but it is so worth the expense and effort involved. – Yours, etc,
