Town evacuated as volcano erupts in southwest Iceland

Eruption began early on Sunday north of the town of Grindavik, which the previous day had been evacuated

A volcano has erupted near the town of Grindavík in south-west Iceland – spewing fountains of molten rock, less than a month after another eruption in the area.
