Turbulent times for Ryanair

Sir, – Have you heard anything recently from the people who wanted Michael O’Leary to run the HSE? Just wondering. – Yours, etc,

JJ POWER,

Naas,

Co Kildare.

Sir, – Notwithstanding Brian Cullen’s spirited defence of Ryanair (September 21st), in which he confidently asserts that he has booked a cheap flight to London in January with the airline, does he not now have even the slightest doubt or worry that this might not happen as he has planned? And isn’t that doubt exactly the consequence of Ryanair’s own incompetence and disregard for its customers? Many customers will be booking with alternative airlines until this doubt is allayed. – Yours, etc,

TOM FINN,

Ballinasloe,

Co Galway.

Sir, – You know that Ryanair is in the thick of it when Michael O’Leary resists the urge to gurn at the cameras at a press conference. – Yours, etc,

P KELLY,

Dublin 8.
