Up to 40 feared dead in Indian bus crash

At least 40 people are feared to have been killed in a bus crash on the west coast of India.

It is believed the vehicle overturned and burst into flames after it was involved in collision with a car as it travelled through Tirurangadi.

When emergency services arrived at the scene, almost 90 per cent of the bus had been destroyed. Police fear the death toll could be higher than 40.

Only four people escaped from the crash, according to reports.
