Two men were injured in so-called punishment shootings in Belfast and Bangor at the weekend. In the nationalist Markets area of the city a 26year-old man was grabbed from behind by a masked gunman as he walked through an alleyway at Eliza Street, at about 4 p.m.
yesterday. He was pushed to the ground and shot twice in the left thigh and once in the right thigh.On Saturday night in Bangor, another 26-year-old man from the loyalist Kilcooley estate was grabbed from behind by a masked man and held down while a second masked man shot him behind each knee.
