Two teenagers have been arrested by gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing in Dublin overnight.

Two teenagers have been arrested by gardaí investigating a fatal stabbing in Dublin overnight.

One man died and another was seriously hurt following the stabbing incident in Rialto.

A fight broke out between a number of young people on St Anthony’s Rd outside Herberton Apartments in Rialto Dublin 8 at around 5.30am during which two men in their twenties were stabbed.

Both men were subsequently taken to St James Hospital where one was later pronounced dead. The other man is in a serious but stable condition.

Today gardaí arrested a male teenager in the Dublin area at about 12.30pm and later arrested a second male in his late teens. Both are being held at Kevin Street Garda station.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
