OAKLAND - Texan millionaire Ms Linda Finch touched down in California in her vintage plane yesterday, completing the around the world flight that eluded famed aviator Amelia Earhart who disappeared while circling the globe 50 years ago.
Ms Finch (46) flew 4,100 km over open ocean from Honolulu to the Oakland International Airport where she circled several times in her restored 1935 Lockheed Electra looking for a break in cloud cover before making a perfect landing.
