Cerebral Palsy Ireland, the support group founded 52 years ago for people with physical disabilities, has changed its name to Enable Ireland.

Announcing the change at the weekend, the non-profitmaking organisation said it had chosen a name which better reflected the services it provided to people with conditions such as muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and development delay.
