Marks & Spencer has announced that it is selling free-range eggs only at its Irish and UK outlets.
The policy, which the company claims is a "major step" towards the elimination of battery-farmed eggs, is to be introduced to its French stores next week. It said the change, which was implemented here yesterday, is in response to growing customer demand for free-range eggs.
