Spectator dies in Donegal rally collision

An 18 year-old man died after he was struck by a car while watching the Donegal International Rally this afternoon.

An 18 year-old man died after he was struck by a car while watching the Donegal International Rally this afternoon.

The collision happened at 3.30pm at Ballyarr, Ramelton, Co. Donegal. 

The man received fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed he was from the Strabane area of Northern Ireland.

The scene is currently being preserved pending a Garda technical examination.
