Ryanair recorded its highest ever monthly passenger traffic in April by carrying 3.44 million passengers in what was a 29 per cent increase on 2005.
Peter Sherrard, Ryanair's head of communications, said Ryanair carried more passengers in April than it did on the whole 12 months of 1997.
