Train drivers Basic annual: £14,000 on the basis of a six-day week. Average gross annual with overtime, bonus and shift payments: £27,000. Under a new deal accepted by drivers there will be a maximum five-day week with an average working week of 48 hours: £29,500 per annum.

DART driver Average annual earnings with overtime, bonus and shift payments and a week of more than 50 hours: £30,000.
