Radharc sets up film company

The Radharc team has established a new independent film company, Esras Film Ltd

The Radharc team has established a new independent film company, Esras Film Ltd. The company will have a wider focus than the religious programmes made by Radharc. On Sunday Communities of Faith, a new eight-part documentary, goes on air under the Esras name. It is the last series to be made by Radharc following the death of its founder, Father Joe Dunn, last summer.

Radharc was the country's oldest independent film company and has been making religious affairs documentaries for 35 years. Esras films will continue to manage the extensive Radharc archive on behalf of the Radharc Trust and will remain at the Radharc offices in Blackrock.

Esras - a druid in Celtic mythology - has submitted applications to RTE for programmes outside religious affairs.
