The Taoiseach has announced the start of a three-month public consultation process on regulatory appeals.

Advertisements will appear in the main national newspapers today and over the coming days giving details on how interested parties may obtain a copy of the Government Consultation Paper and further information on the consultation process in general.

The Consultation Paper on regulatory appeals primarily focuses on appeals relating to the decisions of the major economic and sectoral regulatory authorities such as ComReg and the Financial and Energy Regulators.

It is intended that the outcome of the consultation process will inform the design of appeals processes across the Public Service as a whole.
