New proposals to resolve the dispute over the introduction of wheelie-bins to Dublin are to be put to corporation cleansing staff tomorrow. Impact and SIPTU are recommending acceptance.

Refuse collection crews would receive a weekly allowance of £37.50 as compensation for reduced manning levels. Other cleansing staff will receive a lump sum of £700 each as compensation for the loss of promotion opportunities.
