LIMA - The Peruvian government and leftist guerrillas holding 72 hostages at the Japanese ambassador's home agreed to meet again today after concluding a second round of talks yesterday. The talks follow a meeting on Tuesday which was the first since December 28th of last year.

The Canadian Ambassador, Mr Anthony Vincent, emerged from yesterday's talks to say the negotiations had made "real progress" toward ending the 59-day crisis.
