London - A convicted paedophile who escaped a string of other abuse charges was shot dead on his doorstep in London, British newspapers say today. They name the man as Bill Malcolm (46) and say he was jailed twice in the 1980s for attacking the same young girl before and after his first sentence.
The shooting on Thursday bore the hallmarks of a contract killing. Police confirmed last night that a man was shot once in the head at his home in east London but said they could not name him until next-of-kin had been told.
