Nevin appeal date to be fixed in April

Convicted murderer Catherine Nevin will learn in April when her appeal will be heard.

Convicted murderer Catherine Nevin will learn in April when her appeal will be heard.

The Court of Criminal Appeal will fix the appeal date on April 2nd.

Nevin was found guilty in April last year of murdering her husband Tom in 1996 and was given a life term.

This morning Nevin's solicitors told the Court of Criminal Appeal they eager to press ahead as soon as possible irrespective of the verdict of another court case which will decide if she is entitled to legal aid or not.

Nevin did not appear in court.
