Paris - Paedophile networks are corrupting the Internet and should be smashed by concerted international action that puts children's rights above freedom of speech, a UN conference said yesterday.

The UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) wrapped up a two-day meeting on the sexual abuse of children with a call for more cyberspace regulation by governments and the computer industry.
