The Government is "a collection of ideological duffers", according to the Progressive Democrats' finance spokesman, Mr Michael McDowell.
"The recent controversy between two Government Ministers, Proinsias De Rossa and Richard Bruton, concerning PRSI reform, underlines the huge gulf in ideology which is paralysing this Rainbow Coalition." The differences over PRSI reflected "deep seated political and ideological confusion".
