A man is in a serious condition in Beaumont hospital with head injuries after being struck by a Luas on the red line last night.
The accident happened about 7.50pm on the red line between the Kingswood and Red Cow stops.
A spokeswoman for Veolia Transport said the Luas was heading towards Connolly station when the male pedestrian was struck.
He was taken to Tallaght hospital and later transferred to Beaumont.
