Man held after fatal Meath crash

A 22-year-old man has died in Co Meath after being in a car crash last night.

A 22-year-old man has died in Co Meath after being in a car crash last night.

Gardaí said he was a passenger in a car which crashed at 1.15am at Derrypatrick Grange, Dunsany, Co Meath.

Three men, two passengers and the driver, were injured and taken to Navan Hospital for treatment where the 22-year-old died hours later.

The second passenger, a 23-year-old man, remains in a serious condition. The Garda Press Office said the driver, also 23, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was questioned at Trim Garda Station.

He was subsequently released pending a full investigation.
