A shipment of materials and documents related to Libya's nuclear and ballistic missile programs has been moved to a secure location in the United States, the Bush administration said today.

"This shipment is estimated to be about 55,000 pounds of equipment. These materials include both sensitive documentation and equipment," White House spokesman Mr Scott McClellan said.

He highlighted the shipment as a sign of progress by Libya in carrying out an agreement with the United States and Britain to dismantle its banned-weapons programs.
