Tirana - Albania's last communist president, Mr Ramiz Alia, has returned from abroad following his acquittal on genocide charges, Koha Jone newspaper said yesterday. Mr Alia (72), who succeeded the dictator, Enver Hoxha, after his death in 1985, had taken advantage of this year's wave of unrest to flee from jail in a mass breakout with more than 1,000 other prisoners in March. He had gone first to France and later to Sweden, the newspaper said.
