Judge apologises for case delay

Proceedings by the Irish Permanent due to have resumed in the High Court yesterday were adjourned until Tuesday

Proceedings by the Irish Permanent due to have resumed in the High Court yesterday were adjourned until Tuesday. For the past three days, Mr Justice Geoghegan has been dealing in camera with the appeal against a Children's Court order allowing a 14-year-old girl go to England for an abortion.

Yesterday, he apologised to lawyers involved in the Irish Permanent case for the delay but added that, "for obvious reasons," he could not take it up yesterday.
