A man in his 60s has been killed in a road crash in Co Clare.

A Garda spokesman said the car he was driving hit another car at The Market, Ennis, at 10pm last night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick and a postmortem will be held later today.

There were no reports of any other injuries as a result of the collision, the Garda spokesman said.
