Garda spokesman confirms 43-year-old woman died from natural causes

Gardaí have ruled out foul play following the discovery fo a woman's body in Co Donegal.

The body of the 43-year-old was found in a flat at William Street in Raphoe around 8pm.

It is understood the woman had suffered a head injury and she also had bruising.

The flat was sealed off by gardaí awaiting the arrival of the pathologist from Dublin.

The body of the woman was removed to Letterkenny University Hospital at around 2pm for a post-mortem.

However, following an examination, a Garda spokesman confirmed the woman died from natural causes.

It is understood the woman had been hospitalised recently.
