Green Party leader and former minister for the environment John Gormley has been eliminated after the fifth count in Dublin South East.

Outgoing Fine Gael TD Lucinda Creighton topped the poll and was elected on the sixth count.

Ruairí Quinn of Labour and Eoghan Murphy of Fine Gael, appear poised to take the second and third seats.

Labour's Kevin Humphries is ahead of Fianna Fáil's Chris Andrews in the battle for the fourth seat.
