London - A number of floodlight failures at English Premiership games are to be investigated after the arrest of four men on suspicion of burglary at the ground of Charlton Athletic, the Football Association said last night.

Mr David Davies, the FA's director, said a list of floodlight failures, some of them involving top premiership teams, had been passed to detectives. Mr Davies said: "We understand one of those in custody is employed by an outside company which is used by the club. The three others are believed to be foreign nationals."
