Joe Durant capped a record-breaking week of scoring in style today by shooting a seven-under-par 65 to win the 90-hole Bob Hope Classic with a PGA Tour record total of 36-under-par 324.

Durant's hot form enabled him to get the furthest under par of any player in Tour history. Tom Kite had set the old 90-hole PGA Tour mark at the 1993 Hope Classic with a winning total of 35 under par.

Paul Stankowski fired a final-round of nine-under 63 today to finish second - four strokes behind Durant who won $630,000.

Coming into the tournament 36-year-old Durant had won just once in 132 PGA Tour starts.
