Have your say about science

Who should control the conduct of science?

Who should decide about science? Scientific endeavour is an important cultural activity but a structure is needed to decide on its conduct. Yet who has the authority to determine the shape that science should take in the future? Who are science’s gatekeepers, and how can we be certain that they steer a path that not only serves science but also serves society? The question of governance takes centre stage when looking at what the science of the future should look like, what drives the pursuit of knowledge and who should decide.
