Body of man found in shed of derelict Drogheda house

Investigation is underway and the State Pathologist has been notified

The body of a man in his 30s has been discovered in a shed of a derelict house in Drogheda, Co Louth on Tuesday.

The property on the Rathmullen Road has been sealed off and the State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has been asked to examine the scene.

A member of the public alerted the fire service after they saw the body at around 4pm.

Foul play is not suspected and Gardaí believe they are dealing with a sudden death.

A post mortem will be carried out at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda on Wednesday.
