Business and IT outsourcing group Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) announced today it is to establish a base in Cork and create 100 jobs over the next three years.
ACS is a Fortune 500 company and employs more than 40,000 people worldwide. Its Cork base will provide ACS customers with business processes and information technology outsourcing services.
Recruitment of key people, such as systems engineers and administrators has already started.
Welcoming the move, which was negotiated with the IDA, the Tánaiste, Ms Harney said the company "will add significantly to the business base in Cork and provide a range of career-enhancing opportunities for graduates in the information technology and business management sectors".
