Republic of Ireland full-back Stephen Carr appears ready to leave Tottenham, with Bobby Robson's Newcastle the most likely destination.
Carr, who has two years of his contract left to run at Spurs, hinted last week that he is ready to move as he wants to be playing Champions League football, an ambition he doesn't feel will be fulfilled at White Hart Lane.
And Robson, whose club have secured a place in the Champions League next season, is believed to have offered £5 million for the Dubliner to take him to the north-east.
